Invest in Africa 2015 launches at AU Summit 1j6l55

Invest in Africa 2015 – an official publication of the African Union (AU) – has been launched at the 25th AU Summit in Johannesburg, South Africa. Tying in with the AU’s year of Women’s Empowerment and Development, the publication was presented to delegates during a high-level session on gender equality and women’s empowerment.

HE Sophia M Simba – Tanzania’s Minister of Community Development, Gender and Children, who also chaired the session – announced the presentation, before inviting Josepha M Musabyemariya, representative of the AU’s Mission to the United States, to take centre stage to present the publication to delegates from all 54 AU member states.

Following the launch, copies were also distributed at the Second Ministerial Retreat of the Executive Council of the AU and at numerous other summit sessions.
